I stayed at Hejiangting Hanwen Hotel Chengdu for two consecutive nights during my trip to Chengdu. What impressed me the most was not its excellent location by the river, but the meticulous hygiene and attention to detail throughout the entire hotel, from rooms to public areas. As someone who demands a high level of cleanliness in their accommodation, this stay experience gave me a strong sense of security.
As soon as I pushed open the hotel door, my first impression was that there wasn't a lot of stuffiness and dust commonly found in old hotels. The marble floor in the lobby was so bright that it could reflect shadows, and there was no dust accumulation in the corners of the sofas and gaps in the coffee table in the lounge area. Even the free tea table placed at the front desk had all the tea utensils wiped clean, and there was no dripping water or tea stains on the table. When checking in, I paid special attention to the desk at the front desk. The paper and pen used for registration, as well as the room card holder, were all clean and free of any dirt or stains left by repeated use. This first impression was particularly impressive.
After entering the room, I habitually did a 'detail check' and found no problems at all. The glass shower room in the bathroom is wiped clean without any water stains or soap stains, and the edges of the toilet seat and water tank are clean. Even the most easily overlooked gaps in the base are free of any yellow stains; The water outlet of the shower head is not clogged with scale, and the countertop of the sink is shiny. The accompanying mouthwash cup and tray have been disinfected, and there is no sticky residue to the touch. The bedding on the bed is flat without any wrinkles, and there is not a single strand of hair on the pillowcase or duvet corner. When smelled closely, there is only a faint smell of disinfected cleanliness, without any odor at all. I specifically searched through areas that are prone to dirt and grime: the TV screen had no fingerprints, the air conditioning vents had no dust accumulation, the button gaps of the small speaker were clean, and even the bottom of the cup on the tea table by the window couldn't find any dust.
During my stay these two days, I have felt even more the dedication of the hotel's hygiene services. I went out to visit attractions during the day, and when I came back, I found that my aunt had quietly tidied up the room: all the towels I had used had been replaced with new ones, the water cup I had casually placed on the table had been wiped clean and put back in its original place, the garbage in the trash can was clean, and even the slippers I had placed by the bed were neatly arranged, with the tips of my shoes facing the direction of the bed. I accidentally spilled milk tea on the carpet and called the front desk. The cleaning lady rushed over in ten minutes and quickly cleaned up the stains with detergent. When I left, she also wiped the surrounding carpet once without leaving any marks.
Even the hygiene details in the public area are particularly well done: there is no residual fluff on the inner wall of the washing machine in the self-service laundry room, and there is no standing water on the ground; The gym is open 24 hours a day, and the handrails and buttons of the equipment are spotless, with free disinfectant wipes placed next to them; The buttons and handrails in the elevator will be wiped and disinfected by staff every once in a while.
Having stayed in so many hotels in Chengdu, it's really rare to have such comprehensive hygiene details. Hejiangting Hanwen Hotel Chengdu did not use luxurious decoration to enhance the experience, but instead placed the word 'clean' in every visible and invisible small place.
